By enabling this mod all the 8 crops from the base game will be spawned randomly on the map with a chance of reseed (as mushrooms or berries). Your gatherers will collect them automatically, but also alternatively you can tell your laborers to do that - I made a new button for that option in the removal menu (especially useful when you want to pick up crops that happen to be out of gatherer hut radius).
Keep in mind that all the crops are not temperature resistant, so they will start to disappear from the map when the first frost hits. Also don't expect to see them straight away on the map - they need a time to sprout (same as cultivated crops), late summer or early autumn is the time when you should notice a variety of single, wild crops here and there.
If you are lucky and early snow won't surprise you (or you play in a mild climate) - you will see an overflow of many different crops in the wilderness mostly in summer/autumn season. It was the reason that I decided to upgrade the original gatherer building up to 6 workers, I just couldn't watch those wild crops going to waste on cold.
My tip: keep your gatherer hut as normal (3-4 workers) over the winter, spring and summer, but when autumn season comes fill the building with 6 workers (believe me they won't idle). And don't forget about your laborers and new 'harvest wild crops' button.
It is a small addition that makes the environment look more lively.
